Game Scenes

Game Scenes can be seen as a Unity Scene, but it also holds some RPG Builder Related data.

A Game Scene is a scene or a world in which your character can go in game.


Field Name

ID

The ID of this asset data element. Automatically generated.

Name

Name of the asset data in the project and editor. This field has to exactly match the name of your scene file in the unity build settings.

Display Name

The name that will be displayed to the player.

File Name

The name of the file in the project. Automatically generated.

Description

The description that will be presented upon loading screen for this game scene.

Procedural?

Is this scene procedurally generated?

Spawn Point Name

Name of spawn point in the scene, can create empty game object place it in scene and name it "Spawn" then type that exact name into this editor field. Field opens if Procedural is enabled

Always spawn at point

Always spawn at the spawn point. Field opens if Procedural is enabled

The bounds of the world area.

Map Size

The reference scale used for the minimap calculation.

Coordinate

The starting position when teleporting to this game scene, if the teleport position was not custom.

Day/Night Settings

  • Update Sun Position: Moves sun on axes based on day/night time.

  • Sun Axis: The axis the sun moves on.

  • Sun Colors: Gradient that defines sun colors based on it's position and day/night time.

  • Update Fog Color: Should fog color update based on sun position/time?

  • Fog Colors: Gradient that defines fog colors based on day/night time.
