Enchantments

The video dates from before RPG Builder 2.0 however what is explained is still accurate, the thing to keep in mind is the editor UI has changed

Enchantments are now located in Progression > Enchantments

Items are now located in Economy > Items

Enchanting allows your players to modify the stats of their armors and weapons.

On top of that.. it also allows to have some cool looking particle effects.

Generic Fields

Item RarityThe rarity required for this enchantment. Example: Rare, Epic
Armor TypeThe armor type required for this enchantment. Example: Leather, Plate
Armor SlotThe armor slot required for this enchantment. Example: Helmet, Boots
Weapon TypeThe weapon type required for this enchantment. Example: Axe, Mace, Staff
Weapon SlotThe weapon slot required for this enchantment. Example: Two Hand, Off Hand

Tiers

Field NameFunction
Success RateThe chance for this enchantment to be applied. Costs will still be consumed on failure.
Enchanting TimeThe time it takes to enchant the item.
Skill(optional) The skill that will be rewarded with experience on a successful enchant.
Skill EXPThe amount of experience to reward to the skill.
ParticleThe Mesh Particle Manager prefab for this enchant. This will apply a particle effect of your choice on the enchanted item model.
Currency Cost
  • Currency: The currency required for this enchant
  • Amount: How much of this currency is required
Item Cost
  • Item: The item required for this enchant
  • Count: The amount of this item required
Stat Bonuses
  • Stat: The stat that will be altered by this enchantment
  • Amount: The amount to alter the stat by

To use an enchantment in game, you need to create its item. Go to Economy > Items and create a new item. The type of the item has to be ENCHANTMENT. Proceed by assigning the enchantment of your choice there.

Once in game, when opening the Enchanting UI panel, a list of all ENCHANTMENT type items currently owned will be displayed, and possible to use on your armors and weapons.
